The part-time Garment Construction (Sewing) short course does not provide access to a career as a garment construction technician or machinist which requires three years of full-time study associated with the normal undergraduate fashion qualification.

What you will be able to do after the successful completion of the Garment Construction short course is:

• Construct basic fashion apparel items that represent a large portion of apparel made and sold today
• Understand the basic practices that underscore all garment construction (sewing) activity

And after completing this course, the most talented will be able to continue developing their garment construction knowledge and skills on their own.
