SAFW S/S 2011 TRENDS
Echoing the mood on international runways, the Spring/Summer 2011 season at SAFW was infused with optimism. Many designers opted for vivid colours, diaphanous fabrics in loose layers and fluid shapes. The season had a strong commercial attitude with most collections featuring wearable and highly sellable looks.

Black & White
Unexpected combinations of black and white were bold and striking.
New Nudes
Summer nudes ranged from flesh tones to ivory with a hint of dusty blush.
Copper
A rustic, earthy orange was one of the season’s standouts.
